With the FUE technique, the procedure starts with local anaesthesia to the donor area, i.e., the area at the back and sides of the head between the two ears, followed by the individual extraction of the follicular units together with the surrounding microscopic tissue using special tools adapted to the thickness of the hair (0.6 to 0.9 mm). This is usually accomplished without pain, cutting, and scarring or sutures. The extracted follicular units are then placed in the hairless area of the recipient.
The planting process is typically completed in approximately 4 – 8 hours, within one day; thereby, it does not prevent you from carrying out your daily life. Considering the comfort of the procedure, you should know that waiting too long is nothing but a waste of time. There will also be no swelling to your head or bruising around your eyes, with no pain or bleeding. However, we do ask that you use the medicine prescribed by your doctor carefully for a week and follow our advice for a few days. The post-transplant period will go smoothly if you pay attention to these points.
